Start off as a mailroom clerk, be introduced to dilemmas where there are no black and white. Only plenty of grey. Stab your supervisor in the back or help your co-workers prosper? Climb the corporate ladder and become the President of the company.
You do not need great graphics to have fun
Good business simulator games are hard to come by. I have played 5-6 who I consider excellent value for time and money(will write about them in future parts).
Executive Suite is a DOS based strategy/simulator game from 1982. That I can play it and enjoy it today only proves to show how important playability and a compelling game story is in this genre.

Let’s start climbing the corporate ladder.

In order to put you in a suitable first position you need to go through a tough selection process.

The game mainly consists of ethical dilemmas like this. There is no right or wrong answer. Lots of different ways to reach the top, or get sacked.

I found and played the game for the first time a few years ago through an abandonware site. This type of site offers free downloads of games that are discontinued by its publisher.

Visitors, please fell free to tip me about good business simulation games.
Edit (5th of July): The game can be played with no problems in a Windows XP window. Windows 98 users have reported that it does not work. Please report back in comments if you try it on other systems.
What a great game! I like this and Inside Trader, Corp Raider as well. Very nice.
Nice to see that you enjoyed it Victor. Would be great to have more games like this today. In the game boutique it seems like the only offering of business games are cheap “tycoon” clones.
